Macbeth and Banquo achieve what nobody thought possible. With boldness and strategy, the royal generals decide the battle for Scotland. Even in the ecstasy of victory, the two friends hear mysterious voices. Is it imagination or are it witches prophesying that Macbeth will soon be king himself and Banquo the father of future kings? It doesn't matter to Lady Macbeth. Seized by ambition, she instigates her husband to commit regicide, triggering a fatal spiral that claims more and more victims. But reign of terror and bloodshed leave their mark on Lady Macbeth. Plagued by nightmares, she finally confesses her deeds and dies. Macbeth, who even the death of his wife and accomplice cannot throw off course,

'Macbeth' is a cooperation between the Junges Staatstheater and the Young Rose Theater from Kingston upon Thames, Great Britain, Oldenburg's twin town. After a series of plays in Oldenburg, the production will also be shown in Kingston.
