Alongside Mojca Erdmann (4th by Mahler), Layla Claire (Passion by Bach), or even Julie Fuchs (Christ on the Mount of
Oliviers), the 2013 Festival “zooms in” on
one of the very beautiful lyrical revelations of
moment: the young mezzo-soprano Marianne
Crebassa.
Big stages are already asking for her and waiting for her after three fruitful years at
the Atelier Lyrique of the Paris Opera, the magician of Halévy at the Montpellier Festival in July 2011, a memorable Orpheus
at the MC93 last year, followed by Tamerlano
with Marc Minkowski or Lucio Silla
in Salzburg with Rolando Villazón in January… not to mention the next Martyr de
Saint Sebastian by Debussy at the Musikverein
in Vienna and Romeo and Juliet by Berlioz in
Lisbon.
For Saint-Denis, Marianne Crebassa us
immersed in the marvelous world of French melody: the poetry of Debussy and
Ravel, the dramatic paste of Chausson, the
spirituality and the devastating humor of Poulenc.
An already great mezzo, at the dawn of her career.

l’une des très belles révélations lyriques du
moment : la jeune mezzo-soprano Marianne
Crebassa.
De grandes scènes déjà la demandent et l’attendent après trois années fructueuses à
l’Atelier Lyrique de l’Opéra de Paris, la magicienne d’Halévy au Festival de Montpellier en juillet 2011, une Orphée mémorable
à la MC93 l’an dernier, suivi de Tamerlano
avec Marc Minkowski ou encore Lucio Silla
à Salzbourg avec Rolando Villazón en janvier… sans parler du prochain Martyr de
Saint-Sébastien de Debussy au Musikverein
à Vienne et Roméo et Juliette de Berlioz à
Lisbonne.
