It’s got great tunes, epic orchestral sections, and parts where the soloist can show off their skills and really wow you. No wonder it’s been a favourite for over 175 years…

A musical cleanse
The music we’ve got by Mendelssohn and Schumann tonight is pretty powerful. Think rich chocolate cake rather than a lemon meringue. To add a third slice of something so hearty might be…too much.
