Folklore performances, Omani Oriental Group and The Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra pay tribute to the central role of the arts in shaping Oman’s cultural identity.​

Celebrating the Sultanate’s proud and distinctive cultural heritage, the Royal Opera House Muscat is honoured to present a programme highlighting the distinguished and diverse musical activities of Oman. The First Royal Band for Music and Folklore and the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra (ROSO) pay tribute to the central role of the arts in shaping Oman’s cultural identity. Founded at the behest of Sultan Qaboos bin Said in 1984, ROSO comprises talented young Omani musicians and has been at the heart of cross-cultural exchange since its debut performance in 1987. They have played with some of the world’s best musicians, including violinists Yehudi Menuhin and L. Subramanian, and continue to perform regularly in Oman and internationally.​
