This captivating performance of new music is conducted by Geoffrey Paterson, a London Sinfonietta Academy alumnus described by Bachtrack as ‘inspirational.’

Playing side-by-side with mentors from the London Sinfonietta ensemble, the young musicians are showing off their prodigious talents in a programme of British repertoire from the 20th and 21st centuries, including two world premieres.

Samantha Fernando’s new piece written especially for the Academy ensemble explores colour and texture in blocks of collective sound.

The London Sinfonietta Principals then demonstrate their skills with the Royal Overseas League Composition Award-winning new piece by Kai Kubota-Enright.
