Nelson Goerner is an aesthete with a virtuoso touch. This rather shy Argentine pianist conjures up contrasting musical genres. After a chaconne by Handel, we move onto Davidsbündlertänze, a suite of 18 pieces for piano in which Schuman lays bare his musical and poetic ambitions and the tender memory of his beloved Clara Wieck. Then it's Liszt's turn to Romanticism, with the passionate, tumultuous episode that is Petrarch's Sonnet No. 104.

Nelson Goerner est un esthète aux doigts de virtuose. Le pianiste argentin au tempérament plutôt discret, convoque des horizons musicaux bien différents. Après une chaconne de Haendel, place au Davidsbündlertänze, une suite de 18 pièces pour piano où l’on retrouve toutes les ambitions musicales et poétiques du compositeur et le tendre souvenir de l’être aimé, Clara Wieck. Romantisme encore avec Liszt et l'épisode passionné et tumultueux qu'est le Sonnet de Pétrarque n° 104.
