PURCELL // 'Royal Odes' by Le Banquet Céleste & Damien Guillon

Composed by Purcell between 1680 and 1695, the 24 Odes & Welcome Songs are incredibly imaginative and of great craftsmanship, although performed by surprisingly small forces. It is in a “chamber music” spirit that Le Banquet Céleste approaches these works of great expressive and musical richness, of which Damien Guillon definitely asserts himself as one of the greatest international specialists. A record to be released in March 2022 by Alpha Classics
