Advice to those who would take classical mythology for a text engraved in stone: come and take a walk in the disheveled universe of Valérie Lesort, open to all rascals from 7 to 77 years old. You who enter here, let all hope not to burst out laughing during this foray into the other world!

Orpheus has been traveling for a long time, from Greco-Latin antiquity to Offenbach via Monteverdi (not to mention, of course, Jean Cocteau). One might have thought he had arrived at the end of the road. We would have been wrong: neither he nor his Eurydice let themselves be buried so quickly! Valérie Lesort, a director of mad inventiveness, breathes new life into it with the help of a beautiful band of singers and manipulators, who get along like thieves in fairground to create hybrid and oddly sympathetic beings. These puppets whose tiny body supports a human head, you have to see them to be believed, and to see them is to immediately adopt them, especially since they sing wonderfully well! The legend is known, but just in case, and out of respect for the younger ones, Zeus himself does us the honor of an appearance to play the prologues and recall the essential information. Musically, you don't sulk your pleasure. Because to adapt Gluck's opera (created in 1762), Lesort called on the talent of Marine Thoreau La Salle.
