Dans la mythologie grecque, la fatalité frappe toujours au pire moment et la nymphe n'y échappera pas. Mordue par un serpent, elle succombe le jour même de ses noces. Son fiancé Orphée reste éploré et inconsolable jusqu'à ce qu'il reçoive la visite du dieu Amour. Celui-ci lui apprend qu'il pourra ramener Eurydice du royaume des morts à deux conditions : il devra charmer par le seul pouvoir de sa musique les puissances infernales qui retiennent prisonnière son âme et, surtout, ne jamais poser le regard sur elle tant qu'ils ne seront pas revenus à la surface. Ni une, ni deux, Orphée se précipite aux enfers et dompte les étranges créatures qu'il y rencontre grâce à sa lyre enchantée. Le voyage de retour aux côtés d'Eurydice en pleine crise existentielle - qui ne le serait pas après un séjour dans l'au-delà ? - se révélera, lui, bien plus ardu.
Avec la Petite Balade aux enfers, Valérie Lesort et Marine Thoreau La Salle revisitent avec humour et inventivité l'Orphée et Eurydice de Gluck. Les plus grands airs de ce classique du répertoire s'enchaînent joyeusement au fil de nouveaux dialogues mordants, interprétés par des personnages hybrides et une ribambelle de marionnettes aussi curieuses que sympathiques. Une odyssée déjantée pour petits et grands, racontée en moins d'une heure et présentée en tournée dans de multiples lieux de la région Grand Est.

In Greek mythology, fate always strikes at the worst possible moment, and even a nymph cannot escape it. She is bitten by a snake and dies on the day of her wedding. Her fiancé Orpheus remains inconsolable until the god Cupid visits him. He tells him that he can bring Eurydice back from the realm of the dead if he charms the powers of the underworld that are holding her soul captive with his music and if he does not look at his beloved until they are back on the surface. Orpheus rushes into the underworld and uses his enchanted lyre to tame the strange creatures he encounters there. The return at the side of Eurydice, who is in an existential crisis - who wouldn't be that after a stay in the afterlife -,
Valérie Lesort and Marine Thoreau La Salle offer a whole new reading of Gluck's Orpheus and Eurydice with their walk in the underworld with humor and ingenuity . The greatest melodies of the classic happily follow new, biting dialogue, which are interpreted by hybrid characters and a bevy of puppets that are as quirky as they are likeable. A crazy odyssey for young and old. The play, which lasts less than an hour, can be seen on a tour at numerous locations in the Grand Est region.
