We often look to Bach for the great Baroque masterpieces, but let's not forget Vivaldi. The Gloria is compact, but has everything – from the superhuman, majestic euphoria and elusive mystery, to very earthly, human emotions. Bach cantatas, Carrissimi and Handel lead this program to Vivaldi. 

PRJCT Amsterdam is a young baroque ensemble of countertenor Maarten Engeltjes, which is rapidly making waves. Soprano Elisabeth Hetherington is also making waves. This season she will perform more often in the Doelen with both baroque and contemporary music. PRJCT Amsterdam previously performed in De Doelen with Andreas Scholl.

Voor de grote meesterwerken uit de Barok kijken we vaak naar Bach, maar laten we Vivaldi niet vergeten. Het Gloria is compact, maar heeft alles – van het bovenmenselijke, majestueuze euforie en ongrijpbaar mysterie, tot juist hele aardse, menselijke emoties.Bach-cantates, Carrissimi en Händel leiden dit programma naar Vivaldi. 

PRJCT Amsterdam is een jong barok-ensemble van countertenor Maarten Engeltjes, dat in hoog tempo furore maakt. Ook sopraan Elisabeth Hetherington maakt furore. Zij staat dit seizoen vaker in de Doelen met zowel barok- als hedendaagse muziek. PRJCT Amsterdam stond eerder in de Doelen met Andreas Scholl.
