L' Auditori welcomes the young pianist Miquel Gusi accompanied by the Sant Cugat Chamber Orchestra with the Concerto for piano and orchestra no. 1 in E minor op.11 by F.Chopin Frédéric Chopin was the true prince of the piano at the beginning of the 19th century. He knew how to transform the most extreme emotions and the deepest passions into music. With his hands on the keys he turned his intense inner life into sound. An ideal piece of music for Miguel Gusi to make his presentation as soloist of the Sant Cugat Symphony under the direction of the Israeli Roit Feldenkreis. Roit Feldenkreis got his start in the world of classical music the "classical" way. She trained as a young woman in Israel and the United States to become a soprano singer with all that practice, discipline and hard work entails. This seemingly predictable principle has become an avenue of exploration for Roit, in which she has been constantly investigating and pushing the limits of classical traditions, as well as cultural and geographical limits as an international conductor. Miquel Gusi lives in Cornellà and at the age of 20 already has an international concert tour, becoming a young promise. He is currently studying with the teachers Stanislav Pochekin and Enrique Bagaria at the Higher Conservatory of the Liceo, with a scholarship from the Ferrer-Salat Foundation. He began his studies at the Cornellà de Llobregat School of Music with Albert Andreu, and later with Carmen Amat. He completed professional studies at the Lyceum Conservatory with Olga Kobékina. He has given recitals in important venues in Spain, as well as in France, Germany and Hungary. The Sant Cugat Chamber Orchestra, made up of musicians from the Sant Cugat Symphony Orchestra, presents the cycle "Orchestra with young soloists", where it offers young musicians the chance to perform as soloists with a professional orchestra. This show is part of the "Emergentes" project that L'Auditori de Cornellà premieres this 2022 and whose objective is to give opportunity to young and promising talents, pre-professional artists, performing arts students or artists who present a proposal quality artistic performance and are chosen to form part of the Auditori's programme.
