On May 29th, the recital by the soprano Maria Bengtsson took place, to which we were only allowed to receive 100 spectators due to the current regulations. We are therefore pleased to provide you with the recording of the recital as part of "Oper Frankfurt at home" as a video. The Swedish soprano last gave an acclaimed recital at the beginning of the year. In the revival of Richard Strauss' "Der Rosenkavalier" she was supposed to sing the role of Marschallin - this was postponed due to Corona. Maria Bengtsson is an internationally recognized interpreter of Richard Strauss' works, and this evening's program is also dedicated to this composer. At the side of the Swedish soprano will be her proven piano partner Sarah Tysman and ensemble member Cecelia Hall (mezzo-soprano) as well as musicians from the Frankfurt Opera and Museum Orchestra.
