Schubert's Lieder have given rise since the 19th century to numerous transcriptions, signed by Brahms, Reger, Liszt or even Offenbach... These adaptations transpose these lieder in their own way, infinitely declining the "delicate intimacy" of the music by Schubert. Combining the expression of a stringed instrument – ​​the viola – with the voice, sheds a very special light on these pages of music, restoring more of the mysteries, mysteries and nuances of a part, underlining certain harmonies drawn by the piano.

The choice of lieder fell on certain central works of the repertoire, mixed with a few lesser-known songs. The crystalline and supremely musical voice of Sandrine Piau will do wonders in this exceptional recital which has never lived up to its name so well: Grande Voix!

Les Lieder de Schubert ont donné lieu depuis le 19ème siècle à de nombreuses transcriptions, signées par Brahms, Reger, Liszt ou même Offenbach… Ces adaptations transposent à leur manière ces lieder, déclinant à l’infini la « délicate intimité » de la musique de Schubert. Conjuguer l’expression d’un instrument à cordes – l’alto – à la voix, donne un éclairage bien particulier à ces pages de musique, restituant davantage les arcanes, les mystères et les nuances d’une partie, soulignant certaines harmonies dessinées par le piano.

Le choix des lieder s’est porté sur certaines œuvres centrales du répertoire, mêlées à quelques lieder moins connus. La voix cristalline et suprêmement musicale de Sandrine Piau fera des merveilles dans ce récital d’exception qui n’aura jamais aussi bien porté son nom : Grande Voix !
