We do not have to present one of the most famous works of the great Italian master to our viewer. Hugh's drama The King of Fun is a real theme for Verdi to depict great passions, social criticism and tender fatherly love. The protagonist, a court jester aka male minion Rigoletto, is faced with a dilemma; to survive at all costs without financial harm in an immoral environment, not to look at the consequences of one's own ministry, or to resist, as Count Monterone has done? Because in life, every act is paid for, sometimes very dearly, by the loss of the greatest treasure - in this story - the beloved daughter of the Guild.
