The new production by Vyacheslav Starodubtsev (Moscow) surprises with unexpected directorial techniques, emphasizing the power and originality of Rimsky-Korsakov's immortal creation.

“Sadko is a very interesting work: it is both a social drama and a monumental epic. First of all, I am concerned about the theme of the dreamer and the struggle of a person for his dream. Sadko's most cherished desire is to gain wings and fly. But life dips him into the underwater world, tests and tempts him, but he does not lose hope. For me, this is the most important aspect , ”says the director of the play.

Bright scenery and costumes, video art, an interesting lighting solution - the design of the stage space was developed by a team of famous theater artists from St. Petersburg and Moscow: Pyotr Okunev, Zhanna Usacheva, Sergey Skornetsky and Vadim Dulenko.

"Sadko" is a large-scale, dynamic and spectacular performance, which has become another decoration of the repertoire of the Chelyabinsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.  

The performance was staged with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

Новая постановка Вячеслава Стародубцева (Москва) удивляет неожиданными режиссерскими приемами, подчеркивает мощь и самобытность бессмертного творения Римского-Корсакова.

«„Садко” – очень интересное произведение: это и социальная драма, и монументальный эпос. Меня же, прежде всего, волнует тема мечтателя и борьба человека за свою мечту. Самое заветное желание Садко – обрести крылья и полететь. Но жизнь окунает его в подводный мир, испытывает и искушает, однако он не теряет надежды. Для меня это самый важный аспект», – отмечает режиссер спектакля.

Яркие декорации и костюмы, видео-арт, интересное световое решение – оформление сценического пространства разработала команда известных театральных художников из Санкт-Петербурга и Москвы: Петр Окунев, Жанна Усачева, Сергей Скорнецкий и Вадим Дуленко.

«Садко» – это масштабный, динамичный и зрелищный спектакль, ставший еще одним украшением репертуара Челябинского театра оперы и балета.  

Постановка спектакля осуществлена при финансовой поддержке Министерства культуры Российской Федерации.
