Taking up in passing a famous minuet by Lully, Richard Strauss seizes Molière's Bourgeois Gentilhomme in an orchestral suite which will be premiered in Vienna in 1920. That same year, in Paris, the Ballets Russes premiered Pulcinella , to music by Stravinsky, which overturns the work of Pergolesi to bring it into a new modernity... Two daring neoclassical gems, in a concert conducted by the Dane Thomas Dausgaard, current conductor of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. Announcing a famous aria from the Marriage of Figaro, Mozart's Concerto No. 18 will benefit from the joyful energy of pianist Jonathan Fournel, 2021 winner of the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition.

Reprenant au passage un célèbre menuet de Lully, Richard Strauss s’empare du Bourgeois gentilhomme de Molière dans une suite orchestrale qui sera créée à Vienne en 1920. Cette même année, à Paris, les Ballets russes créent Pulcinella, sur une musique de Stravinsky, qui bouleverse l’oeuvre de Pergolèse pour la faire entrer dans une modernité nouvelle… Deux audacieux joyaux néoclassiques, dans un concert dirigé par le Danois Thomas Dausgaard, actuel chef du BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. Annonçant un air célèbre des Noces de Figaro, le Concerto n° 18 de Mozart bénéficiera quant à lui de l’énergie joyeuse du pianiste Jonathan Fournel, lauréat 2021 du prestigieux Concours Reine Élisabeth.
