Music lovers will revel in the rare chance to hear Parish-Alvars’ flamboyant Concertino for Two Harps and the Hong Kong premiere of Marjan Mozetich’s Passion of Angels – a hauntingly beautiful work which beckons the listener into a world of celestial passion. The orchestra-only part of the programme includes Duparc’s romantic evocation of heaven in Aux étoiles (To the Stars), the sublime Romance from Vaughan-Williams’ Serenade in A minor and a symphonic work by the great stargazer William Herschel.
