March 11 - the day of restoration of Lithuania's independence - is different this year. As we cherish our freedom, we see how the cruelty of the Russian government, which is imperceptible in the immediate vicinity of Ukraine, is destroying it. People and like-minded people of the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theater united for a special concert that will be performed from Lithuania to Germany. On the theater stage - ballet soloist Olesia Shaitanova, opera soloists Margarita Levchuk, Edgar Montvidas, Jonas Sakalauskas, for the first time LNOBT will sing Yuliya Tkachenko and conductor Marharyta Hrynyvetska from Ukraine. Along with them - LNOBT Symphony Orchestra, conductor. conductor Ričardas Šumila, LNOBT choir and its artistic director Česlovas Radžiūnas. Inspiring works by Lithuanian and Ukrainian composers will be performed. Representatives of the Lithuanian, Ukrainian and Belarusian authorities will address the concert. The event will be broadcast by LRT and ARTE TV in Germany. All the funds raised for the concert will be used to support Ukraine.
