After The Bartered Bride , The Devil's Wall and Brandenburg in Bohemia , the penultimate completed opera by the already seriously ill Bedřich Smetana, which is considered his best operatic gem, is coming to the Ostrava stage. The story of the Kalina and the Raspberries is reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet (and the feud between the Capulets and the Montes). However, it ends well and is set in the environment of romantic Bezděz smelling of hops. May we all have enough of him, God's gift and satisfaction!
