The Cultural Association L'Orfeo on the occasion of the celebrations for the three-year period Vivaldiano in his stay in Mantua presents an unpublished and first ever project for Italy.
The text conceived and written by Angelo Manzotti shows us the less known aspect of the relationship between the Red Priest Vivaldi and Anna Girò, his muse.
Anna Girò, forgotten for centuries as a person and remembered only as Vivaldi's lover, is reinterpreted as a figure not only of a lover, but of a great professional, quoted by eminent composers and renowned singer in the major Italian and European theaters. Through research and reading of manuscripts, here we try to restore her legitimate importance and dignity as a Woman and as an Artist and we remember that Anna Girò was Mantua. Her closeness to Vivaldi calmed and softened his often intemperate character. She was not only "Muse", but she was a true and deep love. Inside the Pièce that outlines the characters of the two protagonists, emotions, feelings, anger and rancor are spread, all thanks to an in-depth study by the Musicologist. An evocative drama, a glimpse of light on two people of strong character and temperament,
The text of this short drama with music was built on the basis of real events and documented facts.
The prose part is enriched with pieces of music taken from some of Vivaldi's most famous and precious works. The musical research is the result of a precious in-depth work carried out at the National Library of Turin, which houses most of the Vivaldiani manuscripts.

L’Associazione Culturale L’Orfeo in occasione delle celebrazioni per il triennio Vivaldiano nel suo soggiorno mantovano presenta un progetto inedito e in prima assoluta per l’Italia.
Il testo ideato e scritto da Angelo Manzotti ci mostra l’aspetto meno noto del rapporto tra il Prete Rosso Vivaldi e Anna Girò, sua Musa.
Anna Girò, per secoli dimenticata come persona e ricordata solo quale amante di Vivaldi, viene riletta come figura non solo di amante, ma di grande professionista, quotata da esimi compositori e cantante di fama nei maggiori teatri italiani ed europei. Attraverso ricerche e lettura di manoscritti, si cerca qui di restituire la sua legittima importanza e dignità di Donna e di Artista e si ricorda che Anna Girò era Mantovana. La sua vicinanza a Vivaldi ammansì e ammorbidì il di lui carattere spesso intemperante. Non fu solo “Musa”, ma fu un amore vero e profondo. All’interno della Pièce che delinea i caratteri dei due protagonisti, vengono diffuse emozioni, sentimenti, rabbie e rancori, il tutto grazie e uno studio approfondito da parte del Musicologo. Un dramma evocativo, uno squarcio di luce su due persone di forte carattere e temperamento, il tutto arricchito da alcune delle più belle pagine della produzione operistica di Vivaldi tra le quali spiccano arie scritte appositamente per Mantova e le sue, allora, magnifiche stagioni carnevalesche e teatrali.
Il testo di questo breve dramma con musica è stato costruito basandosi su vicende realmente accadute e fatti documentati.
La parte in prosa è arricchita da brani musicali tratti da alcune delle più famose e preziose opere di Vivaldi. La ricerca musicale è il frutto di un prezioso lavoro di approfondimento svolto presso la Biblioteca Nazionale di Torino, che custodisce la maggior parte dei manoscritti Vivaldiani.
