For this unique baroque recital,
the Festival has composed a stage
unprecedented. Saint-Denis finds
Sandrine Piau at the best of her art,
musical intelligence, vocal form, stylistic grace.
Jean Rondeau and Thomas Dunford
embody a new
generation of classical performers,
and hear, from the top of their twenty
years and their respective strings, make
move the lines, in the requirement the
sharper early music
and baroque, in openness to the world
and new encounters.
A non-forced marriage therefore for these
"tormenti d'amore".

Pour ce récital baroque unique,
le Festival a composé une scène
inédite. Saint-Denis retrouve
Sandrine Piau au meilleur de son art,
d’intelligence musicale, de forme vocale, de grâce stylistique.
Jean Rondeau et Th omas Dunford
incarnent quant à eux une nouvelle
génération d’interprètes classiques,
et entendent, du haut de leurs vingt
ans et de leurs cordes respectives, faire
bouger les lignes, dans l’exigence la
plus pointue de la musique ancienne
et baroque, dans l’ouverture au monde
et aux nouvelles rencontres.
Un mariage non forcé donc pour ces
« tormenti d’amore ».
