The impetuous youth of Beethoven animates the three instrumentalists of the Trio Sōra. Pauline Chenais on the piano, Fanny Fheodoroff on the violin and Angèle Legasa on the cello brilliantly express the inventiveness, ardor and tenderness contained in the composer's piano trios.
On the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the composer's birth, the Trio Sōra recorded in 2020 a triple album of Beethoven's six trios for piano, violin and cello, unanimously acclaimed by critics. Throughout this adventure appeared the portrait of a young man perpetually in love, humanist, full of humor and derision.
From his first opus published in 1795, Beethoven demonstrated his singularity as a composer: he conceived his first three trios as large-scale concert works. theTrio in C minor op.1 n°3 has a tone that gives it a dramatic character, until the end of an incredible ardor. The Trio in B flat major op. 97 , composed in 1811, is dedicated to Archduke Rudolf. Beethoven experiments, within the framework of works of chamber music, the association of lyricism and great form. This hymn to nature and love has an obvious humanist significance and resonates as a grandiose completion to its cycle of trios.
