Liberalism as a system; the man devoted to his business; the adorable wife; the world that is not North America, felt as an immense third world worthy of compassion and sorrow, are at the basis of this opera that uses this framework to leave, sottovoce, a harsh critique of the capitalist system that generates unfortunate hell in order to sustain their cinematic paradises, American Ted Huffman belongs to the young generation of talented current stage directors. He is ingenious, has a good sense of humor and a critical spirit, which he shapes in his works based on a modern theatrical and visual aesthetic -with good taste- that connects with the younger audience and makes the performers enjoy themselves. This was the case with his first show at the Teatro Martín y Soler, the ingenious production of Les mamelles de Tirésias, performed by members of the Center for Improvement in 2019.
