Political history of the Vietnam war period is the main theme of John Adams’ opera Nixon in China. The opera also incorporates one of the composer’s previously written orchestral work, The Chairman Dances, which seems the right choice for the concert dedicated to Zoran Djindjic, with Kevin Griffiths as conductor. Next on the program is the premiere of a new work by composer Nebojsa Jovan Zivkovic, commissioned by the Belgrade Philharmonic – a new concerto for cello and percussion, which we will perform together with the acclaimed cellist Kian Soltani and our percussionist Aleksandra Suklar. Being careful not be too pathetic with the novelties, we will also play Tchaikovsky’s Pathetic Symphony.

Politička istorija doba Vijetnamskog rata opisana je operom Nikson u Kini Džona Adamsa. U nju je kompozitor ubacio ranije napisano orkestarsko delo Sekretar pleše, koji se čini pravim izborom za koncert posvećen Zoranu Đinđiću kojim diriguje Kevin Grifits. Budućim generacijama ostavljamo porudžbinu Beogradske filharmonije – novi koncert za violončelo i perkusije Nebojše Jovana Živkovića koji premijerno izvodimo sa svetski poznatim violončelistom Kijanom Soltanijem i našom perkusionistkinjom Aleksandrom Šuklar. Da ne patetišemo previše sa novitetima, sviramo i Patetičnu simfoniju Čajkovskog.

Политичка историја доба Вијетнамског рата описана је опером Никсон у Кини Џона Адамса. У њу је композитор убацио раније написано оркестарско дело Секретар плеше, који се чини правим избором за концерт посвећен Зорану Ђинђићу којим диригује Кевин Грифитс. Будућим генерацијама остављамо поруџбину Београдске филхармоније – нови концерт за виолончело и перкусије Небојше Јована Живковића који премијерно изводимо са светски познатим виолончелистом Кијаном Солтанијем и нашом перкусионисткињом Александром Шуклар. Да не патетишемо превише са новитетима, свирамо и Патетичну симфонију Чајковског.
