Ray Lee, Tenor, was born in South Korea. He began his formal voice studies at the age of 17 as a baritone. In 2005, Ray attended Seoul National University, majoring in Vocal Performance. During his time there, Ray studied with Phillip Kang. In 2006, he placed third in the Osaka International Music Competition in Japan. After studying for three years at Seoul National University, Ray transferred to the prestigious Juilliard School, and he studied with Dr. Robert White. In summer of 2011, Ray made his opera debut at the International Vocal Arts Institute in Tel-Aviv, Israel, as Harlekin, in Richard Strauss’ Ariadne Auf Naxos.
