The Belfast Ensemble is an ever-evolving collective of Belfast artists. Occupying a ‘free space’ in the artistic life of our city, and delivering cutting edge music-theatre work, we blend contemporary music with video, design, spoken text and voice to create ‘music-theatre and opera as event’. Recent productions have included the award-wining opera ABOMINATION (Southbank Centre, Brighton Festival, Abbey Theatre Dublin, Lyric Theatre Belfast, Outburst Queer Arts Festival), PROPAGANDA (Belfast International Arts Festival, Lyric Theatre), MASS (Outburst Queer Arts Festival, Ulster Orchestra), THE MUSICIAN (Belfast Children’s Festival, Queens Film Theatre).
