The Competition is initiated and organised by the world-famous opera singer Hibla Gerzmava, will be aimed at supporting and developing young talented performers.  
The Competition will take place from January 11 to 22, 2023, at the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre. Until September 30, 2022, vocalists and accompanists from around the world are invited to apply for the Competition.The Сompetition will be held once every two years.
Vocalists must be between 18 and 35 years of age. All types of voices representing any country in the world may participate in the Competition.
Accompanists, who have higher musical education or students of musical schools.
Accompanists must be between 20 and 42 years of age.
A maximum of 16 vocalists and 16 accompanists are selected for the First Round, which will be held in-person. 
Vocalists and accompanists selected for the in-person competition rounds will have their travel and accommodation in Moscow covered by the Organiser. No entry fee is required.
Together with the valuable prizes and gifts, the laureates will also be presented with a unique opportunity to make their debut on one of the finest opera stages in Russia in the coming season. For example, the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre, and the Helikon-Opera are ready to welcome the Competition winners.
Hibla Gerzmava is an Associate Professor of Solo Singing at the Moscow Conservatory and one of the world’s most sought-after opera singers, appearing on the world’s most prestigious opera stages. Hibla knows from her own experience how important it is for an artist to have the right start.
Our competition will serve as such launching pad for young talents. During public auditions, vocalists and accompanists will gain the necessary stage experience and become the subject of interest for audiences, artistic directors, agents, record label managers, music festival producers, and professional critics. 
We want the new generation of opera singers – artists of the twenty-first century – to develop and revitalise the best traditions of opera culture. We believe that through their creativity opera art and opera theatres will find a new breath, new popularity, and a new young audience!
