Let yourself be swept away by the music for a few spring days in Halmstad and Falkenberg, when the Tommie Haglund Festival finally returns.
With the South American visit of the Orquesta Filarmonica de Bogotá and some of the most skilled vocal and instrumental soloists of our time, we dare to promise world-class music. In addition to this, there will be workshops for Halland's young musicians, panel discussions and the release of the book "Ögonblickets infinity", about Tommie Haglund's life and work.

The concert program for the days spans several centuries of music in addition to Tommie Haglund's own. Mozart, Rameau and Delius have, together with others, influenced Tommie Haglund throughout his life. We hear some of their works performed by our international guests as well as local musicians and choirs. In addition, 'Making Something out of Nothing' - a unique, cross-border collaboration between Per Gessle and Tommie Haglund - will be premiered.

In four panel discussions, you are invited, among other things, to share thoughts about listening to classical music when you are not used to it, about culture as God's arena and about meeting across borders in music.

Young musicians from Sturegymnasiet and Culture School in Halmstad are invited to participate in workshops with our visiting musicians from near and far. In addition to that, Sturegymnasiet's film students contribute their expertise and document the festival, while students from the hotel and tourism program take care of guiding our guests.

The Tommie Haglund festival is a collaboration between Halmstad municipality, Region Halland, the Church of Sweden in Halmstad's parish and Sensus, with contributions from the Delius Trust (UK) and Halland's business community.
