Yulia Suleimanova

Ukrainian Soprano Yulia Suleimanova is one of the most promising singers of her generation. After graduating from the Saint Petersburg State Conservatory, she enrolled at the Mariinsky’s Academy of Young Opera Singers in 2014 and has been enchanting the audience of the renowned Mariinsky Theater in numerous leading roles such as Mademoiselle Silberklang (Der Schauspieldirektor), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), and Giulietta (I Capuleti e i Montecchi in concert), just to name a few. In Summer 2018, she made her Salzburg Festival debut as Prilepa in The Queen of Spades. Ms Suleimanova won 2nd prize at the II International Young Opera Singers’ Competition Opera without Borders in 2015, and 1st prize at the All-Ukraine Oxana Petrusenko Vocalists’ Competition in 2008 and 2009.
