2Amelie Müller as Silvia Lombardi, actress, mistress of the prime minister and object of the fashion designer's desires, not only looked dazzling in her elegant figure-hugging costumes (by Aleksandra Kica ), she also offered enchantingly beautiful singing with her soprano voice, which was confident in all registers to the floating top notes, and she truly had the charm, grace and charisma of a Neapolitan film diva. Her admirer, the tailor and fashion designer Andrea Coclé, was the likeable baritone Steffen Kubach , also great in his soulful arias and the duets with Silvia,visually quite the bon vivant with blond curls and initially in a midnight blue satin nightgown, later delicious to look at in his convict outfit - after his Mamma Agata at the beginning of the 2021/22 season, here is another game that seems tailor-made for him.

Conductor Johannes Pell and his orchestra delivered a spotless performance at the premiere of the operetta “Der Vetter aus Dingsda” by Eduard Künneke at the Dresden State Operetta. Sensitively and passionately, the ladies and gentlemen brought Künneke's sound worlds to life under his baton and enabled the audience to enjoy the stylistically diverse, humorous and compositionally imaginative score. Every single number, every stylistic element and all the breaks and contrasts in between were played perfectly on their own and ultimately led to an enchanting overall musical impression. Cary Gayler's dignified, fairytale-like and changeable stage design is also a big magic box [...] The employees from the painting room and workshops deserve great praise for the craftsmanship, Frank Baschek skillfully set everything in the light.
