Argentinean baritone Germán Enrique Alcántara is a graduated of Jette Parker Young Artist Programme of Royal Opera House London, where he had his company debut in the 2018/19 Season as Dancaïre in Carmen and where he appeared in many other productions: La traviata, Faust, Andrea Chénier and in 2022 Le nozze di Figaro where he performed as Count Almaviva under the baton of Sir Antonio Pappano. In April 2024 he recorded Simon Boccanegra in the original version 1857 (title role debut) for Opera Rara, also performed in concert in Manchester with The Hallé Orchestra conducted by Sir Mark Elder. Germán Alcántara studied at the School of Music in Misiones, at the National University of Cuyo-Mendoza, at the Maîtrise de Notre-Dame de Paris (under Rosa Dominguez) and the Reina Sofía School of Music
