Biography
The mezzo-soprano Lara Morger was born in Switzerland and began her musical training on the violin and bassoon before turning to singing. Today she performs in Switzerland, Germany, Spain and France in opera productions as well as in concert and chamber music. Lara initially studied bassoon and baroque bassoon in Zurich and Leipzig, where she also began her vocal training with Prof. Jeanette Favaro-Reuter and Marek Rzepka. Since 2016 she has been studying singing with Prof. Dorothea Wirtz at the Freiburg University of Music, with an expected bachelor's degree in opera, concert and pedagogy in summer 2020. As part of the International Bach Academy Stuttgart 2019, she attended master classes with Emma Kirkby, Peter Kooij and James Gilchrist. Further master classes with Christiane Iven, Ulrik
