View cast and crewMaria Belokurskaya was born in Belarus and studied at the Glinka Conservatory in Minsk and the State Conservatory in St. Petersburg with Tamara Novichenko. She participated in master classes of renowned singers such as Montserrat Caballé and Yelena Obraszowa. After winning numerous competitions, she became a member of the ensemble of the Opera House in Novosibirsk in 2013 where she is now regularly heard in large parts of the Russian, Italian and French repertoire. Equipped with a dark, sensual timbre, a strong stage presence and great stylistic versatility critics often compare Maria Belakurskaya to the young Elena Zaremba.
