Biography
Born in the city of Reykjavík, Icelandic soprano Marta Kristin Fridriksdottir is currently living in Vienna, Austria. The young soprano has taken part in prestigious classical singing competitions with good success. In 2023 she was a main prize winner of the Schloss Rheinsberg competition in Germany and will as a result sing the role of Eugenia in a production of La Molinara by G. Paisiello, be a soloist at multiple galaconcerts with the Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt and take part in the festival's art song (Lied) masterclass this summer. In the summer of 2022 she recieved the young singer award Musikalischer Förderpreis Jugend at the International DEBUT competition in Weikersheim, Germany and sang in the finals of the International Hans Gabor Belvedere singing competitio
