View cast and crewAt Nationaltheater Mannheim, Petro Ostapenko made his company debut in 2022, starring in the title role of Tchaikovsky’s Jewgeni Onegin. A member of Musiktheater im Revier Gelsenkirchen since the 2018/19 season, he performed Escamillo in Bizet’s Carmen, Zurga in Bizet’s Les pêcheurs de perles, Ferryman in Britten’s Curlew River, Malatesta in Donizetti’s Don Pasquale, Spielmann in Humperdinck’s Königskinder, Sharpless in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly and the title roles in Tchaikovsky’s Jewgeni Onegin and Weinberger’s Schwanda, der Dudelsackpfeifer. Born in Malyn, Ukraine, he studied at the Piotr Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine between 2008 and 2023.
