Vanta una luminosa carriera che l’ha vista negli anni presente nei più importanti teatri del mondo, diretta dalle più prestigiose bacchette e da registi di fama internazionale: è il mezzosoprano Sonia Ganassi, attesa martedì 5 gennaio, alle ore 18 nel concerto conclusivo per “7 Voci – Chi fermerà la lirica?”, la rassegna in diretta streaming sul canale YouTube del Goldoni per “Web Opera”.
Artista versatile e curiosa, la Ganassi è brillante interprete nei primi anni di carriera di un repertorio incentrato sui ruoli rossiniani e su tutti i ruoli da mezzosoprano di Bellini e Donizetti, ampliatosi ben presto con incursioni nel repertorio barocco, in quello mozartiano e nel repertorio francese altro suo terreno d’elezione. Negli ultimi 10 anni, con il raggiungimento di una piena maturità vocale ed artistica, si è avvicinata al repertorio verdiano ed al repertorio verista. Ha interpretato varie volte il ruolo di Eboli nel Don Carlo di Verdi debuttato con unanimi consensi di pubblico e critica a Barcellona nel 2007 ed eseguito anche in una nuova produzione del Covent Garden di Londra diretta da Antonio Pappano nel 2008, il ruolo di Amneris in Aida, di Preziosilla nella Forza del destino, di Cuniza in Oberto conte di San Bonifacio ruolo eseguito al Teatro alla Scala in uno splendido allestimento di Mario Martone sotto la direzione di Riccardo Frizza nel 2013, fino ad arrivare al riuscitissimo debutto di Cavalleria Rusticana a Dresda nel  2016.
Gli interessi musicali e artistici di Sonia Ganassi sono rivolti anche a tanto repertorio della seconda metà del ‘900 ed alla musica contemporanea.
Nell’atteso concerto al Goldoni, la potremo ascoltare in un programma che evidenzierà le sue splendide doti tecniche ed interpretative: in apertura “La regata veneziana” (3 canzonette in dialetto veneziano) di G. Rossini, a cui seguirà “Le spectre de la rose” da Les nuits d’été di H. Berlioz; sarà quindi la volta di Zaïde, Op.19, No.1 dello stesso autore e “Ah, que j’aime les militaires” da La Grande-Duchesse de Gérolstein di J. Offenbach; dopo un omaggio a Pietro Mascagni con “Voi lo sapete, o mamma” dal suo capolavoro Cavalleria rusticana, chiuderà con “Acerba voluttà” da Adriana Lecouvreur di F. Cilea.
