he Valentine's Day Concert is a great Brescian lyric tradition, carried on by the Marenda family and which, before this health emergency, reached its 35th edition. The concert did not always take place on the day of the "Lovers' Day" ... but the tradition has always remained with that name and with the peculiarity of dedicating the concert to Love and Solidarity. Just a few days ago, doing a bit of order in my library, I found myself in my hands an envelope that I had long lost sight of: a photo album accompanied by a letter. It was the photo album that Mrs. Claudia Marenda had given us, to me and Daniela, in memory of the Valentine's Day concert on February 6, 2005 and to wish us a Happy Easter. The one presented today in this video is precisely that edition, very rich in meaning, of that Concert, because it was precisely the 20th edition and arrived shortly after the disappearance of one of its most important "souls": comm. Adriano Marenda, great entrepreneur from Brescia and great lover of opera. The dedication of this concert is in fact to the memory of the co .. Marenda and of the lawyer. Negrini who has always supported the initiatives of this magnificent reality which, with his activity, has supported the "Olindo Alberto" center for the treatment of oncological diseases at the Spedali Civili in Brescia. Five great Italian voices of the world opera scene accompanied by the Italian Symphony Orchestra conducting by Maestro Marcello Rota and with the participation of the Lombard Lyric Choir directed by Maestro Giovanni Andreolli. Today's occasion is also to always remember a great friend, comm. Adriano Marenda ... a great friend, his wife Claudia Marenda and the sya family who continue to carry out the project today with great passion and competence. The voices are those of Daniela Dessì, Alberto Gazale, Sara M'Punga and the boxwood Maurizio Murare (who replaced the announced Michele Pertusi at the last minute) and ... mine. the letter that her friend Claudia had written to us on that occasion and that I found, is one of those things that remain in your heart and it is for this reason that I decided to put it at the end of the video ... hoping to have done what also appreciated by Claudia! The writing is truly special like the memory of this magnificent concert. Il Concerto di San Valentino è una grande tradizione lirica Bresciana, portata avanti dalla famiglia Marenda e che è giunto, prima di questa emergenza sanitaria, alla sua 35a edizione. Non sempre il concerto si è effettuato nel giorno della “Festa degli Innamorati”...ma la tradizione è rimasta sempre con quel none e con la peculiarità di dedicare il concerto all’Amore e alla Solidarietà. 

Proprio alcuni giorni fa, facendo un pò d'ordine nella mia libreria, mi sono trovato tra le mani un plico che avevo perso di vista da molto tempo: un album fotografico accompagnato da una lettera. Era l'album fotografico che la sig.ra Claudia Marenda ci aveva donato, a me e a Daniela, a ricordo proprio del concerto di San Valentino del 6 febbraio 2005 e per Augurarci Buona Pasqua.

Quella presentata oggi in questo video è proprio quell''edizione, ricchissima di significato, di quel Concerto, perché era proprio la 20a edizione e arrivava poco tempo dopo la scomparsa proprio di una delle sue "anime" più importanti: il comm. Adriano Marenda, grande i imprenditore bresciano e grandissimo appassionato di opera lirica. La dedica di questo concerto è infatti alla memoria del co.. Marenda e dell'avv. Negrini che ha sostenuto sempre le iniziative di questa magnifica realtà che, con la sua attività, ha sostenuto il centro "Olindo Alberto" per il trattamento della malattie oncologiche presso gli Spedali Civili di Brescia.
Cinque grandi voci italiane del panorama lirico mondiale accompagnate dall'Orchestra Sinfonica Italiana direttivo dal maestro Marcello Rota e con la partecipazione del Coro Lirico Lombardo diretto dal maestro Giovanni Andreolli.
L'occasione di oggi è anche quella di ricordare sempre un grande Amico, il comm. Adriano Marenda...una grande amica, la moglie Claudia Marenda e la sya famiglia che continuano a portare avanti ancora oggi il progetto con grandissima passione e competenza.
Le voci sono quelle di Daniela Dessì, di Alberto Gazale, di Sara M'Punga e del bosso Maurizio Murare (che sostituiva all'ultimo minuto l'annunciato Michele Pertusi) e...la mia.

la lettera che l'amica Claudia ci aveva scritto in quella circostanza e che ho ritrovato, è una di quelle cose che ti rimangono nel cuore e d è per questo motivo che ho deciso di metterla alla fine del video...sperando di aver fatto cosa gradita anche a Claudia!
Lo scritto è davvero speciale come il ricordo di questo magnifico concerto.
