Curioso 'singspiel' mozartiano, Der Schauspieldirektor - ossia l'Impresario teatrale -, datato 1786, venne proposto a Sassari in una nuova drammaturgia curata da Marco Carniti e Marco Spada. Narra delle peripezie di un impresario, appunto, che dovendo allestire uno spettacolo si scontra con mille difficoltà. Un'ouverture e quattro numeri musicali in lingua originale intercalati da dialoghi in prosa, tradotti in italiano, per un'ora e un quarto di musica "rimaneggiata" nella nuova drammaturgia con l'inserimento di altre due arie di Mozart e una di Gluck che non appartengono alla partitura originaria.

A curious Mozartian 'singspiel', Der Schauspieldirektor - that is the theatrical impresario -, dated 1786, was proposed in Sassari in a new dramaturgy curated by Marco Carniti and Marco Spada. It tells of the vicissitudes of an entrepreneur, in fact, who, having to set up a show, encounters a thousand difficulties. An overture and four musical numbers in the original language interspersed with prose dialogues, translated into Italian, for an hour and a quarter of music "reworked" in the new dramaturgy with the inclusion of two other arias by Mozart and one by Gluck which they do not belong to the original score.
