Torna dopo 26 anni a Sassari Ernani (1844) melodramma di Giuseppe Verdi su libretto di Francesco Maria Piave, ispirato a Hernani di Victor Hugo. La scena si svolge nel Cinquecento tra la Spagna ed Acquisgrana e vede protagonisti Ernani - figlio del re deposto da Carlo - lo stesso nuovo re e Silva, tutti innamorati della stessa donna, Elvira. Le battaglie amorose si intrecciano con le lotte per la corona, sullo sfondo di un giuramento di lealtà che porterà il protagonista a un tragico epilogo. L'annunciato tenore nuorese Piero Pretti, annunciato nel cast come Ernani, dovette rinunciare per motivi di salute e venne sostituito da Rudy Park.

After 26 years, Ernani (1844) returns to Sassari , opera by Giuseppe Verdi with libretto by Francesco Maria Piave, inspired by Hernani by Victor Hugo. The scene takes place in the sixteenth century between Spain and Aachen and features Ernani - son of the king deposed by Charles - the same new king and Silva, all in love with the same woman, Elvira. The love battles are intertwined with the struggles for the crown, against the backdrop of an oath of loyalty that will lead the protagonist to a tragic ending. The announced Nuorese tenor Piero Pretti, announced in the cast as Ernani, had to give up for health reasons and was replaced by Rudy Park.
