It can be said without any exaggeration that La Traviata is the most recognizable and most beloved opera in the world repertoire. Verdi, a connoisseur of human feelings, so accurately expressed their shades through music that they freely penetrate the heart of the listener and make him live the story with the heroine.

The plot of "La Traviata" is based on the famous novel by Alexandre Dumas son "The Lady of the Camellias". Contemporaries claimed that in this book the writer told the real story of his relationship with Marie Duplessis. The young courtesan conquered the Parisian world with her mind and appearance, and the young Dumas with her sincerity and beauty of soul. And if the word "traviata" in Italian means "fallen", then the opera "La Traviata" is a story about how love elevates a person. Such semantic contrasts become a fulcrum in the whirlpool of feelings into which a wonderful performance plunges the viewer.
