Steinunn Sigurdadottir

Sigurdardottir, born in Iceland started taking vocal lessons in her hometown, Gardabaer at an early age, until moving to Germany to further her education. At the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg she studied with the world-renowned Soprano, Cheryl Studer. And under her guidens she took her first steps on the big stage, with roles like, “Nella“ from Gianni Schicchi and “Mimi”, from “La Boheme”. Steinunn searched to deepen her education and transferred to the Operaschool at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe to study with Christian Elsner and Friedemann Röhlig. During her studies she potrayed the roles of “Rosalinde” From “Die Fledermaus”,“Mother“ in Hänsel and Gretel and “Governess” from “Turn of the screw” by Britten.
