Biography
Steve Katona is a German countertenor, composer, actor, and artist from Berlin. He studied opera at the UdK Berlin and works at the nexus of various artistic disciplines. His work encompasses a syncretism of musical, performative, and experimental elements that strive to dissolve the boundaries between genres. As an opera singer, he debuted in one of the leading roles in Jamie Mans' opera "Zelle: wenn es dunkel wird," which was awarded at deSingel in Antwerp (BE), with further performances at the Palau de les Arts in Valencia (ES), the Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon (PT), and the Theater Casino in Zug (CH).
