He studied conducting at the Academy of Music in Chisinau, where he also began his vocal studies with Professor Vladimir Dragos. At this time, his roles included Konchak Prince Igor, Boris Boris Godunov, Gremin Eugene Onegin and Fiesco Simon Boccanegra. He also sang Sarastro Die Zauberflöte at the Open Air Opera Festival in Isny. He won a scholarship from the Moldovan Government to studies at the Richard Strauss Academy of Music with Nikolaus Hillebrand, and since 2001 he has studied with Gisela Aulmann. He reached the final round of Plácido Domingo’s Operalia in 2006, and since September 2007 has been engaged as a soloist at the St Gallen Theater, Switzerland, where his roles have incl
