Amsterdam, NetherlandsDutch baritone Berend Eijkhout (1989) studied at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague, the Netherlands, with voice teachers Frans Fiselier and Gerda van Zelm. He had lessons with Nadine Secunde and Albert Bonnema, and has taken masterclasses with Elly Ameling, Marcel Reijans and Johannette Zomer.Berend appeared in operas such as The Barber of Seville (Figaro), Le Nozze di Figaro (Il Conte), The Magic Flute (Papageno), Alceste (Apollon and Héraut), Monteverdi’s Orfeo (Plutone), and and created the roles of Jup (Who’s afraid of Orfeo?, Chiel Meijering 2016) and Jean (All Rise!, Jan Peter de Graaff, 2016). Oratorio performances include the bass or baritone solos in B-minor mass, Passions, ChristmasOratorio, Magnificat and numerous masses and cantatas (J.S. Bach), Creation (Haydn), Messiah (Ha
