Cameron Burns

Cameron Burns is a British conductor at the Staatsoper in Hannover where he has conducted almost fifty performances of both opera and ballet since his debut in December 2015.  This season he will conduct L'elisir d'amore, Hänsel und Gretel, Candide, O wie schön ist Panama and the ballet, Henry VIII  and will assist Ivan Repušić on Salome, Aida and Der fliegende Holländer.   Cameron made his conducting debut with LSO Discovery in 2012 prompting The Times to describe him as “a young conductor to watch: his is an urbane, unhistrionic manner of direction, with an impeccable technique at the service of a lucid grasp of the score”.  Since then he has worked with Amsterdam’s Nieuw Ensemble, Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra, Niedersächsisches Staatsorchester Hannover, Cambridge Philharmonic Orches
