As a child, music was always associated with movement for me. The spinning turntable, my mother dancing right and left waltzes, flying bows and whirling mallets, marching brass bands, tears flowing with laughter and tears...

Even today I find music moving. It moves my senses, my body, my fingers, makes the strings and air vibrate.
It evokes images and states of mind and immediately follows the desire to share them with others.

Movement implies touch.
The needle on the record groove, sensing the body tension of your dance partner, the horse hair of the bow leaning against the gut string in dissonance, a funny remark that makes the other person laugh or sounds that give you goosebumps.

Chamber music is a wonderful field for my longing for touch.
It offers the opportunity to communicate wordlessly, to sense the boundaries between the you and the I and thus to develop permeability in the game. Where do I end and where does the other person begin?
When do I take the opportunity to make a statement, where do I give space, when do we let things happen or when do we root ourselves together?

The score as a map, a familiar crew on board and musical instinct as a compass are good prerequisites for embarking on the journey of discovery.
When the sails are set and the wind is good, the sounds of the individuals merge into one big shared wave that touches you emotionally, intellectually and physically.

In the wake of the joy of sailing, practical performance discussions or opinionated bickering get lost, even the tower of one's own evaluation criteria tips over like Jenga blocks.
The next day the game is resumed: the tower is rebuilt with careful research, technical discussions with experts and interesting content.

Until the wind comes up again and gets everything moving!

Als Kind war Musik für mich immer mit Bewegung verbunden. Der sich drehende Plattenteller, meine Rechts- und Linkswalzer tanzende Mutter, fliegende Bögen und wirbelnde Schlegel, marschierende Blaskapellen, vor Lachen und Weinen fließende Tränen…

Auch heute empfinde ich Musik als bewegend. Sie bewegt meine Sinne, meinen Körper, die Finger, bringt Saiten und Luft in Schwingung.
Sie ruft Bilder und Gemütszustände hervor und sofort folgt der Wunsch, diese mit anderen zu teilen.

Bewegung impliziert Berührung.
Die Nadel auf der Plattenrille, das Erspüren der Körperspannung des Tanzpartners, das Pferdehaar des Bogens, der sich in der Dissonanz gegen die Darmsaite lehnt, eine witzige Bemerkung, die das Gegenüber zum Lachen bringt oder Klänge, die einem Gänsehaut bereiten.

Kammermusik ist ein wunderbares Feld für meine Sehnsucht nach Berührung.
Sie bietet die Möglichkeit, wortlos zu kommunizieren, die Grenzen zwischen dem Du und dem Ich zu erspüren und so eine Durchlässigkeit im Spiel zu entwickeln. Wo höre ich auf, wo fängt der andere an?
Wann nehme ich Gelegenheit für ein Aussage, wo gebe ich Raum, wann lassen wir geschehen oder wann verwurzeln wir uns gemeinsam?

Die Partitur als Landkarte, eine vertraute Mannschaft an Bord und musikalischer Instinkt als Kompass sind gute Voraussetzungen, um die Entdeckungsreise anzutreten.
Sind die Segel gesetzt und der Wind gut, verschmelzen die Klänge der Einzelnen zu einer großen gemeinsamen Welle, die emotional, intellektuell und körperlich berührt.

Im Sog der Segellust verlieren sich aufführungspraktische Diskussionen oder rechthaberisches Gezänke, selbst der Turm eigener Bewertungskriterien kippt um wie Jengabausteine.
Am nächsten Tag wird das Spiel wieder aufgenommen: Sorgfältig recherchiert, im Diskurs mit Fachleuten technisch fundiert und inhaltlich interessant konzipiert wird der Turm wieder aufgebaut.

Bis wieder Wind aufkommt und alles in Bewegung bringt!
