Russian mezzo-soprano Daria Rositskaya made her National Theatre Opera debut on 3 October 2019 in the role of Charlotte (Rodion Shchedrin: Lolita, State opera production). She graduated from the Mariinsky Theatre Academy for Young Singers in St Petersburg in 2005, and completed her subsequent studies at the St Petersburg State Academy of Performing Arts in 2008. In the following years she attended master classes of Stephan Rugamer, Ian Partridge and Franco Pagliazi. Since 2006 she has been a member of the St Petersburg State Music Theatre Zazerkalye, where she has so far appeared in the roles of Bizet’s Carmen and Mercedes, Rossini’s Isabella (L’Italiana in Algeri), Doralice (La gazzetta) and Angelina (La Cenerentola), as well as creating the roles of Lel (Rimsky-Korsakoff: The Snow Maide
