It takes time before Turandot - Ingegjerd Bagøien Moe - enters the performance, but oh my! how she sparks when she gives it all. Ice cold in appearance, and with a voice that vibrates all the way to the back wall of the main hall.

"One of the reasons is this night’s Elisabetta - Ingegjerd Bagøien Moe. Her vocal and scenic luminosity made her a central point every time she was on stage. It’s not often that I have experienced a singer that I never before have heard about, impress that much in every detail. It was nothing less than a knockout. Her voice has a unique beauty in all its changes from finest silver to flowing gold. It’s completely even through the registers, and it is free and clear from the lowest to the highest. She can use it for fine-tuned lyrical singing as well as intense drama. Her action on stage was intelligent and completely free from posing. She was totally convincing in the part and its conflict between love and acceptance of her faith. This is a singer for the great stages of the world! Parts as Amelia (Un ballo in maschera) and Elsa (Lohengrin) seems completely natural for her. And of course her own dream role right now – Tosca!"
