Féach ar an bhfoireann agus an fhoireannLeonhard Garms was born to an Austrian family in Rome where he also grew up. His musical studies at Kunstuniversität Graz were strongly shaped by the unique new music scene in Graz and its protagonists as teachers. Nevertheless he first headed for a traditional career as opera pianist / conductor, with engagements at Oper Graz, Komische Oper Berlin, Theater Regensburg, Staatstheater Wiesbaden and Turkish State Opera Istanbul. Around 2013 Leonhard began to actively reconnect with the new music scene, wishing to combine his sensitivity for contemporary creation with his affinity for the stage and the experience he has gathered in leading vocal performers. Engagements as free-lance conductor specialized in contemporary music theatre have since then led him to opera houses and festivals suc
