Peter Ruzicka is not only one of the leading contemporary composers, but also a celebrated conductor and influential artistic director, e.g. B. at the Salzburg Festival. His symphony is an excerpt from the opera Benjamin, which premiered in Hamburg. This is preceded by Beethoven's overture King Stephen, a late work for the opening of the theater in Budapest, and his wonderfully lyrical Fourth Symphony
